All charge stations that allow drivers to use RFID cards have RFID card readers that will recognize a valid card and the driver’s account. Some networks allow you to register an RFID card that will start a charge by tapping the card against a card reader. This will allow the driver(s) to manage charging sessions. In connection with your RFID card, you will still need to manage an account online. For each different network, you’ll need a different RFID card. RFID cards come in handy if you drive a fleet of EVs or if you have poor mobile reception at your local charger.
