As one of the most iconic hotels in the world, The Plaza has been the standard of luxury and quality service since its opening in 1907. Located in the south plaza of Fifth Avenue Central Park, The Plaza is a true urban resort, it has the experience of combining modern technology with impeccable service.
InvoTech Systems recently announced that The Plaza will upgrade their Uniform system. InvoTech Systems is a leading provider of Linen Management, Laundry and Uniform Systems. They are all integrated with the latest RFID technology to increase the profitability of hotels, resorts, casino operators, sports venues, convention centers and theme parks. The Plaza-installed InvoTech Systems manages the uniform inventory of 900 employees.
Upgrading UHF RFID saves additional costs by automating work that previously required manual labor. Special waterproof RFID tags are carefully attached to each uniform. The InvoTech uniform system automatically tracks each uniform through RFID tags, either in the process of being sent to the employee and sent to the laundry room. In the past, it was necessary to manually scan the clothes one by one. This is a time consuming process and will now be eliminated. Because RFID technology can handle multiple uniforms simultaneously and automatically, and automatically save records. The system upgrade process and installation are simple, no new training is required, and most importantly, the upgrade does not affect the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
According to Oswald Lares, Sales Director of InvoTech Systems, “Our uniform system can be built to monitor uniform inventory and, based on an analysis of its data reports, can determine and predict future purchase quantities. Without manual sorting and manual counting, the system can track uniform stocks. Laundry charges are easier to monitor, which helps to reduce laundry and labor costs.”
